AirMed's wide range of fleet can provide for all of your air ambulance, passenger and freight requirements2010 marked AirMed’s 25th year of business aviation operations. The company has today become a specialist and a European market leader in the supply of air ambulance repatriation services as well as providing an efficient and hassle free service to the freight and passenger charter markets. Today, the company remains faithful to its long standing philosophy of total commitment to customer service, achieved through constant attention to detail.

In the past 7 years AirMed has invested over $12million in new aircraft, medical equipment and maintenance facilities. A dedicated and longstanding team with many years experience, combined with consistent investment enables AirMed to provide the highest quality of service to a very broad client base.

With a wholly owned fleet of 9 aircraft (including the most modern Learjet 35A fleet in the world), a worldwide AOC, highly trained and experienced pilots including over 17,000 hours of Learjet 35A flight time between them and over 500 Atlantic crossings, AirMed is the UK’s market leading operator for air ambulance missions.

AirMed was the first air ambulance company in the UK to be awarded with EURAMI full accreditation "Special Care" and is also one of the first to be fully registered under the new Care Quality Commission (CQC). Both of these lend themselves to AirMed's philosophy of striving to provide a leading aeromedical transfer service which continually raises the bar within the air ambulance industry.

AirMed was one of the first companys to gain approval for and join the pet passport scheme. This enables the provision of a first class service where your beloved pets can travel with you on those European trips.

AirMed Engineering first gained approval in 2002 and since then it has achieved EASA Part 145 Part M status as well as becoming a Cessna Authorised Service Facility and Parts Supplier. Specialising in Cessna Caravan C208s as well as all Piper aircraft, AirMed Engineering provides invaluable support to the rest of the company by being able to provide excellent aircraft availability with quick turnaround maintenance schedules and enabling all of our aircraft to be thoroughly checked and cleaned prior to and post all jobs.

The company Air Medical Ltd (AirMed) operates in accordance with Air Operators Certificate (AOC) number GB1171 which is certified by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Through this AirMed undergoes a stringent series of annual audits to ensure all safety requirements are met and regulations are adhered to. The AOC allows worldwide operations for the Learjets, however the turbo-prop and piston fleets can only operate around Europe and Northern Africa.
