Case study: no fines this time

AirMed stepped in to get a freight haulage company out of a tight and potentially costly squeeze. The company faced £15,000-a-minute fines for late delivery of vital parts to a motor manufacturer after its 40-tonne lorry was delayed en route between the Channel Tunnel and Liverpool. A plan was agreed whereby he diverted to Oxford airport. We helped him unload his pallets and identify the most urgent items which were then flown to Liverpool aboard two Cessna 208 Supercargomasters. The production line never stopped and the lorry delivered the remainder of his load in good time.

AirMed response times prove vital when time is
at the essence for airlines and flight crew.
We have flown urgent AOG parts for aircraft and
for ships in many European destinations to save
cancellations which in turn can prove expensive
for the company concerned. Within approximately
1 hour from written confirmation - AirMed can be
airborne from their Oxford Airport base. In the
past AirMed have proven vital to many Airlines
who have got technical problems and need a vital
replacement part as soon as possible or
sometimes sick or out of duty flight crew
members that need replacing. AirMed using one
of it aircraft in passenger configuration can
deliver crews from UK airline bases to the required
destination.

AirMed understands that time is critical and has
proven to be life saving when it comes to the
transportation of human organs for transplants
and in some cases the medical team required,
this is where AirMed’s 24 hour manned phones
are vital for this kind of medical emergency.

Freight

There are times when only the very fastest freight delivery will do. With production lines so often dependent upon urgent parts to keep them moving, AirMed can save the day with the ultimate in rapid delivery throughout Europe.

With the relaxation of EC rules, freight can now be freely shipped with the minimal paperwork and without any of the delays associated with shipping agents and forwarders at major airfields. An AirMed freight aircraft is totally dedicated to your needs.

In July 2007 AirMed became approved as a charter carrier under The Pet Travel Scheme. After working closely with Defra and SkyPets of Biggin Hill, AirMed is now able to offer this service to its clients who have expressed the desire to take their pets, who are part of the Pet Passport Travel Scheme, abroad with them.

AirMed has chosen popular destinations in France, Germany and Spain as approved
routes back into the SkyPets clearance facilities at London’s Biggin Hill airport, with the
intention to add further destinations across Europe on request.
